This Agreement is entered into between the Client (“Client”) and Trail-N-Tails, owned and operated by Genevieve Rojas (“Business”).

Acknowledgment of Risk

The Client understands that participation in outdoor dog activities, including hiking, camping, walking, transportation, and group socialization, involves inherent risks.

These risks may include:

  • Dog fights or injuries

  • Encounters with wildlife

  • Environmental hazards (terrain, heat, cold, water)

  • Illness or injury during transportation

  • Escape or loss despite reasonable precautions

By agreeing to this form, the Client acknowledges and voluntarily accepts these risks.

Dog Health & Behavior Responsibility

  • The Client confirms that their dog:

  • Has no known history of aggression unless disclosed in writing

  • Is physically capable of participating (or accommodations have been discussed)

  • Is up to date on vaccinations, including rabies

  • Is free of contagious illness or parasites

  • Failure to disclose health or behavioral concerns may result in termination of services without refund.

Veterinary Care Authorization

In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, the Business may seek veterinary care as needed.

The Client agrees to be financially responsible for all costs, including:

  • Exams

  • Treatments

  • Medications

  • Transportation

If the Client cannot be reached, care may be authorized up to $1000 at the Client’s expense.

Transportation Consent

The Client authorizes transportation of their dog to outdoor locations.

The Business agrees to:

  • Secure dogs safely

  • Maintain proper ventilation and climate

  • Use reasonable care

The Client acknowledges that vehicle travel carries inherent risk.

Group Socialization

Dogs may participate in small group outings (maximum of 3 dogs).

While dogs are carefully matched, the Client acknowledges that:

  • Animal behavior can be unpredictable

  • Injuries may occur during normal interaction

  • Outdoor Environment Risks

The Client understands that outdoor activities may involve:

  • Uneven terrain

  • Wildlife or insects

  • Natural water sources

  • Weather changes

  • Exposure to natural elements

Reasonable precautions are taken, but risk cannot be eliminated.

Lost or Escaped Dog

If a dog becomes lost or escapes:

  • The Business will make reasonable recovery efforts

  • Assistance from animal control or search services may be used

The Client acknowledges:

  • Tracking devices may be used

  • Outdoor environments carry inherent escape risk

  • Property Damage

The Client is responsible for any damage caused by their dog to:

  • Property

  • Equipment

  • Vehicles

  • Campsites

  • Other dogs

  • Media Release

The Client grants permission for photos or videos of their dog to be used for:

  • Social media

  • Marketing

  • Promotional materials

Clients may opt out within the form below.

Cancellation Policy

The Business requires advance notice for cancellations.

  • Late cancellations may result in partial or full charges.

  • Services may be rescheduled due to weather or safety concerns.

Right to Refuse Service

  • The Business may refuse or terminate services if a dog:

  • Shows aggression

  • Poses a safety risk

  • Appears ill or injured

  • Lacks required vaccinations

Liability Release

The Client expressly assumes all risks associated with the services and agrees to release, waive, and hold harmless the Business, its owner, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

  • Injury to the Client’s dog

  • Injury caused by the Client’s dog

  • Outdoor activity risks

  • Transportation

This does not apply in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington.

Indemnification
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Business from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the behavior or actions of the Client’s dog, including injury to other animals, people, or property.

Fees and Payment
The Client agrees to pay all fees associated with services as communicated prior to booking.

Agreement

By submitting the form below, the Client confirms that they:

  • Have read and understand this agreement

  • Accept the risks

  • Agree to all terms

This Agreement shall remain in effect for all current and future services unless terminated in writing by either party.
